Megan Long

Associate Attorney

Megan has spent the entirety of her legal career helping Georgia families navigate the emotional and turbulent waters of family law litigation. Whether the case involves divorce, legitimation, modification, custody, child support, or contempt, Megan understands how important it is to have a competent legal representative, who can effectively and zealously advocate on behalf of clients and their families. She recognizes the mental and physical toll that litigation often takes on individuals and their loved ones and works diligently to address all issues in an effective and efficient manner, while seeking to prevent conflict and strife wherever possible. She prides herself on offering a judgment-free environment for clients to voice their concerns and frustrations, while also offering sound advice and guidance on how to best proceed through the litigation process. She strives to live by the maxim, “do what you love and love what you do”, and for her, what she loves to do is family law.

As a practicing attorney, Megan has represented clients throughout the State of Georgia, including all around metro Atlanta and North Georgia. She is familiar with how courts in different jurisdictions view the various aspects of domestic cases and offers tailored advice to clients to best accomplish their goals and desired outcomes. She truly embodies her role as a counselor for clients, as she works with them to put their best foot forward during the litigation process.

In law school, Megan held a leadership role in the Family Law Society, organizing events and moderating panels for her fellow classmates and visitors to spread awareness regarding the importance and value of the practice of family law. While working part-time as a law clerk for a local Estate Planning and Elder Law firm, she also participated as a student attorney in Georgia Law’s Health Law Partnership (HeLP) Clinic, where she assisted Athens-Clarke and Oconee County residents on immigration matters as well as estate planning.
